Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy

Chapter 3706 Another Judge

Chapter 3706 Another Judge

Liz walked out with a happy gait, leaving behind a man far too stunned to even speak. The color reaching violet didn't seem to back down even after she walked down, which at that point confirmed that the Divine cultivator was going to be changed for the third time now. There were going to be four different Divinities for five people. Not a single one had changed before Alex's group came by, so everyone had their eyes plastered on them from the start.

"Congrats, Liz," Helen said. "You used your Time Daos, right? We didn't really see much else happening from here, except for the cauldron you brought out. Did you try to make a pill?"

"I did. I had to distract him somehow, so that felt like the right thing to do. It was either that or painting something, and I don't think I want to do any painting," Liz said.

Tailwind came out of the barrier and announced to everyone that he would leave as well. Someone else would come replace him.

"What exactly did happen?" Alex asked. "Since you were moving normally, you slowed down time for the hourglass?"

Liz nodded. "Since I had until the hourglass finished, my best option there was to slow down the hourglass. I did consider using it on him and me for a moment, but that would've taken a lot out of me, and worse, he might have noticed the aura."

"I was going to ask that. How did he not realize how much time you had spent in there already?" Alex asked. "It was way past two minutes, and he never once looked at the hourglass until the end."

"Oh, I used the Dao of Temporal Perception to mess around with him a bit," Liz said.

"Dao of Temporal Perception?" Alex asked. "There's such a Dao?"

"It's a combination Dao that mixes the Dao of Time with the Dao of Awareness. You can use it to manipulate time aura around someone in a way that their body's inherent perception of time is completely gone. Their natural clock simply stops existing if you want it to, or becomes hyperaware, depending on how you wish to use it."

"I see…" Alex said, slowly nodding. "A mix of the two Daos. I already have the two Daos, so can I learn it?"

"Probably," Liz said. "If you have the Dao of Temporal Perception, you just need to start learning how to project it onto someone else. Once you can do that, making them lose track of time is simply a matter of reversing that process."

Alex didn't really understand it right now, but he believed it to be something that required him to test things out before he understood anything at all. Since he had the two Daos, it was only a matter of practicing with them after all.

Someone finally flew in a minute later, an older man with streaks of gray hair in his otherwise short brown hair. He was a broader man in a blue and white robe, standing before the masses with his chin held high.

"I will be the next judge in this test, and I may be much stricter than the others," the man said. "Since we've wasted your time, let the next one come up quickly so we can speed things up a little."

The man went into the barrier and sat in his chair, wearing the headband on his forehead.

The next participant was none other than Alex, who stepped in through the barrier and made his way toward the center. He bowed toward the Divinity and sat down on the chair before him.

The man looked at him, an obvious glint in his eyes. "You are the one His Majesty is looking for, aren't you?" he asked.

Alex blinked. "His Majesty?" he asked. "You don't mean the Storm God, do you?"

The man scoffed. "Who else could I mean?"

Alex frowned slightly. To call the Storm God 'His Majesty', this man could only come from the Divine Thunderforge Realm, which either made him part of the Poison God's cult or the Storm God's cult. And something told Alex that the worse option of the two was the right one.

"Are you a member of his cult?" he asked.

"I am," the man said proudly.

He tossed the rod at Alex, and Alex caught it.

"I will advise you to just give up and leave, since I will hold in my emotions like a steel trap and make it impossible for you to get anything from me. Even if you could, I already know a lot about you. So there isn't anything you could say that can surprise me either."

The man flipped the hourglass and set it on the table beside him. "You have two minutes."

Alex watched the sand inside the clear glass before his eyes moved back toward the brown-haired man.

Before coming here, Alex hadn't really thought much about what he was going to say. Since everyone had been getting good results, he wanted to get a good result as well. But if someone were to come that he couldn't reveal anything to, he had thought of giving up entirely.

This was that situation, perhaps the most extreme version of it, since the person would report directly to the Storm God's cult, and that was the last thing Alex wanted.

However, given how the man acted, he didn't want to give him the satisfaction of seeing him fail.

Alex spun the rod in his hand a couple of times, taking the moment to consider whether what he was going to do was the right thing or not. In the end, he couldn't think of anything better at all, so he stuck with the decision he had come to.

He clutched the rod tightly to show the man that what he was going to say next was indeed the truth.

"I am the Sun God," Alex started. "And I will advise you to be free with your emotions and expressions, or else the Sun will burn that resistance away along with you."
