Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy

Chapter 3601 End of Yang Source

Chapter 3601 End of Yang Source

Alex finally found the freedom to cultivate without any disturbance. The only time he was disturbed was once every month when people wanted to leave or go back into his Soul Space to continue their cultivation. In the short time that had passed, everyone within his Soul Space had improved at a tremendous rate, so as the only one who was outside, he couldn't lag behind them at all.

Alex ate various pills to speed up his cultivation sessions, and those helped him tremendously. He also absorbed more of the aura of the Nine Yang Divine Tree, and now he was extremely close to fully completing his Creation.

At the same time, the Yang Source in his dantian had now dwindled to almost nothing. Alex was now fully focused on finishing that up before he did anything else.

Months passed before he knew it, and the day came when he would fill up his Creation.

He began that session as any other and made an opening to the Nine Yang Divine Tree in his Soul Space, from where he drew out the aura to absorb. At the same time he did that, the remaining energy of the Yang Source in his dantian began moving up through his meridians to mix with the tree's aura before flowing into his Spiritual Sea.

Watching the final bits of the energy inside his dantian flow out, Alex couldn't help but feel rather sentimental. This was, after all, the energy that had saved his life back when his body was poisoned and dying.

It was the energy that had destroyed the formations, which had freed him and many others like him from the 'game' that Yang Renye had developed.

Today, he was using it all up.

In a way, the Yang Source in his dantian had been a silent friend throughout his journey as a cultivator. Since the day he opened his eyes on the obsidian shores of the Western Continent till today, the Yang Source had been with him all along.

And now, as he watched the final dregs of the energy flow out and mix into the tree's aura, it all finally mixed into his Origin, which let out a resonating sound in his mind before closing off.

The Origin was completely filled, so the aura would now begin to incubate so that it could form into a spirit.

Alex slowly opened his eyes. "That's half of the Creations done. Half are still to go."

Of the 8 Creations to be, Alex had completed the filling of 4 of his Origins now. He first completed Godslayer's Origin, followed by the Dragon Father filling and forming a spirit of himself. The Sun was the next Origin he filled up, and now he was done with the Nine Yang Divine Tree as well.

He sensed his empty dantian again. Aside from Qi and Primordial energy, he could feel an emptiness there. He wondered how long it would take for him to get used to it. The Yang Source was never coming back as he had completely used it up.

"It's not used up," Alex told himself. "It's a part of me now. It's part of my soul. We've become even more connected than ever."

That made him feel much better.

With the tree done, Alex moved on to Heavenly Clouds. While it was high enough that he could break through to the next realm without any issues, he wanted to push it even further so he wouldn't have to worry about it causing issues for the next breakthrough.

If he wanted to learn about Unity, he needed to be able to cultivate without any outer obstruction. Only when the rest of the variables remained the same could the experiment bear fruit.

Alex was deep in his cultivation when he was alerted by Whisker in the middle of it. He slowed down his cultivation but didn't stop immediately. He noticed the time, which just wasn't right. There were still more than 10 days before the scheduled day when people would leave his Soul Space.

"I'm here. Do you need something, Whisker?" Alex asked.

"It happened, brother," Whisker said excitedly.

"It?" Alex asked with a confused look. "What do— no way!"

"Your pill bugs," Whisker's excited voice came through his mind. "They hatched."

Alex immediately brought out the cauldron upon which the pill bugs were staying. He looked inside and found 4 golden pill bugs along with many tiny, white, translucent insects. The four female pill bugs had given birth to about 72 pill bugs in total.

The newborn pill bugs were rather tiny, no more than the size of an ant, so it would take a while before they grew at all. The four mother pill bugs would also have to rest for some time before they could give birth to another brood.

Alex placed some fresh blood for the pill bugs to consume, which the mothers did almost immediately. The newborn bugs, however, didn't seem interested in the blood just yet. It would likely take a while before they would consume his blood.

No one in history had yet managed to fasten the Dragon-Blooded Pill Bugs, let alone manage to breed them at all. Having managed to do that, Alex was quite happy.

"How long did it take?" Alex thought as he considered the time period. It had been nearly a decade since the pill bugs became pregnant. Since then, they had laid many eggs and those had hatched within the region with sped-up time.

That was 2 years in a place where a single day outside meant 50 days inside. Meaning for the pill bugs to take 2 years to hatch, they had in reality taken a century.

"A century, for 70 offspring," Alex thought with a sigh. He wasn't even certain if all of these would grow up healthily at all. Hopefully, they did, or else the number would be even less.

"How long is it going to take for them all to grow up? When do I start fastening the rest?"

Alex had no idea at all as he was treading on a road no one else had been on.

"Well, I guess I'll just have to continue and figure things out all by myself."
